It is hard to classify a book like this, because it is nothing more than a collection of cleverly thought out, but unrelated texts, very much in the style of Roald Dahl. Who in today's world, wants to read a book like this? Well, for me, I find this a great little book to pass the time when I am waiting - in the car to pick someone up, or at the airport, or just wherever. The rhymes are short enough that you can finish in a moment, and clever enough for you to think them through as deeply as you wish. And when you have finished reading, you always feel better - the other day, when the dentist called me into his surgery, I actually went in with a smile on my face! That has never happened before!My favourite anecdote is Rowena Hyena.

Read Flash in the Pun and you'll smile, chuckle, guffaw - sometimes all at the same time! it's wry, irreverent, sometimes poignant and always very, very funny. Well done, Mr Maund.
I have know Phil for many years and his passion has always been playing with words and puns. Unfortunately I do not have this talent, only a great appreciation for those who do. I really enjoyed this collection of clever poems and loved sniffing out the hidden meanings.
"Marketing" is my favourite and I suspect it will be used many, many times to accurately describe the state of our world and Polly Tichun.
If you enjoy puns and have a quirky sense of humour, this is the book for you.
